Arena
Finally! The sweet sweet embrace of arena combat! It's so much fun I could play arena all day and all night. Unfortunately my team mates don't have the endurance I do.
I set foot in arena for the first time in a 3v3 match. It was my hunter, a warlock; Raize, and a rogue; Werewaldo. We got spanked... no healer, obviously. We proceeded to get spanked 8 times before Werewaldo decided to bail in favor of leveling his lock.
So, Raize and I played some 2v2. It was fun. We, again, got owned time and again initially, but once we got used to the feel of 2v2 combat things went well. Our record isn't winning yet but it will be soon. And our gear is still mostly greens and and blues with a few epics yet.
You might think a lock and a hunter would do well but we actually did better when the lock switched to his rogue; Hemorrahge. The idea that there's this invisible protector hiding right next to me while I face down two opponents is comforting.

First Win:
Our first win was against a dual rogue team. I would imagine two rogues probably suck to go against but, since I'm a hunter I just shoot a flare off, sit on a frost trap with my partner, and rank 1 AOE spells to find the rogues.
We destroyed them. Frost trap, succubus charm, kill one, kill two.

Favorite Win:
We were fighting a rogue and a warrior who decided to focus fire Raize. We emptied everything we had into the rogue and he just didn't die before they killed Raize. So I was stuck facing a rogue at 25% health and a warrior at close to 100% health (multishot). I kited both of them in a circle focus firing the rogue the whole way eventually killing him.
I then started working on the warrior. Before long he had done barely any damage to me and I had him down to 25% health. With a timely placed Feign Death I dropped his selection on me and on to my pet and finished him off before he could land another blow.
Second Favorite Win:
We were fighting two beast-spec hunters (which I despise) who decided to focus fire me. My Deterrence + FD kept me alive for a while but eventually they got me. I thought Raize was done for when I saw one of the hunters go down like a 2-dollar whore. I then realized that not only was Raize at near full heath, but the remaining living hunter was at half health and going down fast.
He killed the remaining hunter who fought desperately to stay alive.
Least Favorite Loss:
We were going up against two mages. The water elemental shot us while we were standing in a group and stuck us in place. The mages then focus fired me, killing me in a record amount of time (I'm screwed for the most part when I can't move). They then turned and killed Raize.
Favorite Loss:
This was with Hemorrhage against a paladin and a hunter. We focus fired the hunter with my pet on the pally. The pally healed the hunter but it was clear we were taking the hunter down faster than the pally could heal him. We would disable the hunter for a few min using a trap and hit the pally. They were both at about 25% health or lower with hemorrhage and I at about 25% or higher. Then, suddenly, the hunter is back up to full health... Hemorrhage disconnected and I was stuck, by myself, against a hunter and pally that we were about to beat. It was fun match.
I fucking hate Comcast
More to come on Arena as I gain more experience. I know Battlegrounds inside and out... arena... that's a new kind of animal.
