What happens between 60 and 61?

According to; Warcraft Realms Vindication battlegroup SUCKS at PvP in Alterac Valley in the 61-70 bracket. We OWN FACE in the 51-60 bracket. While I will admit that the data is a little limited; 190 games is probably not a HUGE pool of data to draw from but my experience is that it is accurate.

I LOVE AV. I think it’s the Battleground that is the most fun... although I have yet to kick it in Arena, I think AV will always hold a special place in my heart. But ever since I hit the 61-70 Bracket my fragile heart has been crushed... by the thunderous hammer of Alliance victory after victory. I mean, they aint even close... Horde LITERALLY has NOTHING on the map 75% of the time while the alliance is on Drek

I've won many AV's. Back when AV was originally released, when you had to grind to Exalted to get the good stuff, I ran with my original hunter; Doombull. In those days things were very different. The map WAS clearly balanced in favor of the Alliance to start. After some adjustments the map was probably balanced in favor of the Horde. Eventually Blizzard tweaked the map until most people felt it was well balanced... but there were no Battlegroups, you had to fight Allance on your own server and, on Gorefiend, in those days, the Alliance was usually superior to Horde in PvE progress which tended to translate into a slight PvP advantage. Grinding from Neutral to Exalted took a lot of games and Horde won probably about as many games as we lost.

As I was leveling Doombulltwo I was desperate to hit level 51 so I could play AV… In fact I remember forgetting that the bracket started at 51 instead of 50 like all the other BG’s, staying up really late to hit 50, and being royally pissed when the Battlemaster was like; "Fuck off, you’re too low!"

So as I leveled from 51 to 60 I spent a lot of time in AV. We won ALL the time. I think Horde lost maybe two or three games the ENTIRE time I played in that bracket... I rolled out of that bracket with over 70 honor tokens confident I'd be full on honor tokens in no time!

To my dismay I find a very different competitive environment in the 61-70 bracket. The Alliance is chomping at the bit to steamroll the Horde and they do so ALL the time. Why? In AB, WSG, and EotS, on Vindication Horde dominates between levels 50 and 70. In fact, last AB weekend I played about 10 games of AB and lost 1.. and the score in that one was 1990 to 2000 (no exaggeration, I have the screen shot). What the hell is wrong with AV?

It's filled with people who WILL NOT defend a GY... but in EotS and AB people generally defend a good bit of the time. It’s FILLED with people who stand in the cave AFK... but almost no one AFK’s in AB, WSG, or EotS.

And, most of all, its filled with STUPID PEOPLE... People who do stupid stuff like fight east of Tower Point for no reason while the Alliance takes FW GY. Or people who spend 1000 years fighting east of Balinda’s Bunker while the Alliance is rolling up on the Relief Hut...

Why? I HAVE TO KNOW!!! WHY does Horde SUCK so god awful in AV? Why do we make stupid choices when we generally make good choices in other BGs? Why do we stand around AFK? WHY? I have 99 AV tokens and when I hit level 70 I’m gonna walk into a full set of High Warlords gear... I need 11 more tokens to get what I want... Sadly, I think that means I will be playing 11 more games of AV.
